(Corbin, KY) It's our final semi-final game of the 13th Region Boys Basketball Tournament. Our matchup will feature the South Laurel Cardinals verses the Pineville Mountain Lions.
South Laurel comes in with a 25-8 record on the season. Pineville comes in with a 22-10 record on the season.
Pineville was led by Sawyer Thompson with 25 points going 9-18 from the field 2-7 from three 5-6 from the free throw line, grabbing 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 blocks. Ashton Moser with 14 points going 5-15 from the field 1-3 from three 3-4 from the free throw line, grabbing 5 rebounds, 5 blocks and 4 steals. Kaiden Robbins with 11 points went 4-8 from the field 1-2 from three 2-2 from the free throw line, grabbing 5 rebounds and 1 steal. Cameron Puckett with 6 points going 2-4 from the field 2-2 from the free throw line, grabbing 2 rebounds and 2 steals. Jeremiah Beck went 0-8 from the field 0-1 from three, grabbing 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. Zander Garrison with 1 steal.
South Laurel was led by Jordan Mabe with 22 points going 8-19 from the field 6-6 from the free throw line, grabbing 11 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 blocks and 1 steal. Joshua Steele with 18 points going 4-6 from the field 1-2 from three 9-10 from the free throw line, grabbing 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Max Fullmer with 12 points going 5-7 from the field 2-3 from the free throw line, grabbing 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block and 1 steal. Colton Rawlings with 9 points going 3-8 from the field 3-7 from three, grabbing 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Kaiden McQueen with 3 points going 1-2 from the field 1-2 from the free throw line, grabbing 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block and 1 steal. Kaden Taylor went 0-2 from the field 0-2 from three. Blaine Baker went 0-1 from the field and grabbing 1 rebound.
South Laurel will improve to 26-8 record on the season. Pineville will end there 2024-2025 season with a 22-11 record.
South Laurel will advance to the championship game of the 13th Region Tournament. They will play the North Laurel Jaguars, on Monday at 7:00 PM at the Corbin Arena.
