Lady Jaguars edge Lady Lions in the Semi-finals of the 13th Region Softball Tournament 6-1

(Corbin, KY) It's semi-finals number one of the 13th Region Softball Tournament being held at Corbin High School. Our first semi-final game will feature the North Laurel Lady Jaguars verses the Pineville Lady Lions.

North Laurel comes in with a 27-6 record on the season. Pineville comes in with a 19-6 record on the season.

The Lady Lions gets on the board first when Slone singles to left field scoring Maidon to make the score 1-0 Pineville.

In the bottom of the first inning Edwards walks scoring Sams to tie the game up at 1

In the bottom of the second inning Monhollen sends a solo homerun to right field to give the Lady Jaguars the 2-1 lead. Then Sizemore singles that scores Sams to make the score 3-1 North Laurel.

Then in the bottom of the fourth inning Keen triples to right field and then scores off of an error to make the score 4-1 North Laurel.

North Laurel will improve to 28-6 record on the season. Pineville will end there season with a 19-7 record.

North Laurel will advance to the championship game which is played today at 6:30 PM against the winner of Harlan vs Jackson County, which is being held at Corbin High School.
