(Lexington, KY) It's the first game of the day of the Tates Creek Showdown held at Tates Creek High School. Our first matchup will feature the Eastern Eagles verses the Union County Bravettes.
Eastern comes in with a 14-10 record on the season. Union County comes in with a 15-11 record on the season.
The Eagles gets on the board first when Kretzer singles that allows Jeffcoat to score to make the score 1-0 Eastern. A hit by pitch by Staples that allows Sweasy to score to makes the score 2-0 Eastern. A double play by Davis that allows McGregor to score to make the score 3-0 Eastern.

Then in the top of the fifth inning Kretzer sends a two-run homerun to centerfield that makes the score 5-0 Eastern. Then Davis reaches on an error that allows Staples to score to make the score 6-0 Eastern.

Eastern will improve to 15-10 record on the season. Union County will fall to 15-12 record on the season.
Eastern will be back in action today May 10 as they play Harrison County at 4:00 PM and Greenup County at 7:30 PM. Union County will be back in action today May 10 as they will play Tates Creek at 2:15 PM and Male at 5:45 PM.
