Monday night AnnaBelle Lovett was the Go Kinetic Home KY Top Tiger. Lovett went 2-4 with a 2 run HR. AnnaBelle finished the game with 3 RBI’s, 2 runs scored, a stolen base, and pitched a scoreless inning in Clay’s 13-1 win over Corbin. OBTW her first homerun.
AnnaBelle has played with the Clay County Lightning 2012 for 5 years…last year she combined with the South Laurel/ Corbin/ Clay Little League. AnnaBelle has played on a travel team Ky Diamond Elite. This year she is with HOT STYX 14 u. She’s a 12 year old 7th grader at Clay County Middle School. She has taken pitching lessons from Brian Owens for 4 years. His daughter Brianda, was a great pitcher for Clay also. AnnaBelle pitches, plays 3rd mostly for Middle school. She’s on the HS JV squad where’s she has gotten to pitch, plays 2nd and short stop. She’s played 1st and catcher as well before. She eats and sleeps softball. And has always has loved it.
Last night was her first homerun, and will definitely not be her last. If you don't know who AnnaBelle Lovett is, you will. She will be coming to a town near you. Hard work paying off.
