Powell county put up a hard fought battle against Nikki Hendrix’s Lady Wildcats. The final score coming out to 30-20.
Starting the ball game off with a bang came number 8 Ella Napier with a single shot home run home run in the first. Later on in the fourth she stepped up to the plate and got a grand-slam. Ella Napiers grand-slam caused the game to flip on a head in Powell’s favor turning the game to a 19-15 lead. Ella Napier finished the game with 5 at bats, 3 runs, 3 hits, and 8 RBIs. The team totaled 32 hits in 39 at bats.
Julie Moore led the Lynn Camp Wildcats to victory in the circle and the batters box. Julie Moore in 5 at bats had 5 runs, 5 hits, and 7 RBIs.
In the circle she pitched all 6 innings allowing 14 hits, and 4 Strikeouts.
Bailey Martin was another huge help for the Lady Wildcats tonight in the batters box. Having 6 at bats, 3 runs, 5 hits, and 6 RBIs.
Aniyah Hamilton, Charity Steele, Julie Moore, and Maddy Weymers all had home runs in the game tonight.
The Lady Wildcats will be in action on Monday against Williamsburg at 5:30.
The Lady Pirates will be back in action Monday against Paris at 6
