
(Williamsburg, KY) In a big time 13th Region matchup from Whitley County High School, the Jackson County Lady Generals try to take down the Whitley County Lady Colonels on the road.
The game was scoreless through the first three innings of play, when in the top of the fourth inning, Jackson County finally got on the board when Sallee doubled, scoring the first two runs of the game.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Lady Colonels was able to tie the game up at 2, when a sacrifice bunt by Jayden Barton, and then a double from Kara Canada.
The Lady Generals was able to answer in the top of the fifth inning to give them the lead off of a Moore double, scoring one run.
Once again the Lady Colonels was able to answer the Lady Generals run, they tied the game up at 3 in the bottom of the fifth inning.
The Lady Colonels came up in the bottom of the seventh inning, trying to give them the win. They did exactly that when Hallie Huddleston triple, giving them the win. On a walk-off triple.
Caylee Singleton pitched four innings in relief for the Lady Colonels. He gave up three hits, one run, striking out four and only walking two batters. Kara Canada was the starting pitcher for the Lady Colonels. Candice Williams started in the circle for the Lady Generals. She only gave up six hits, four runs, going six and two thirds of work, while striking out six and walking only two batters.
